Art and Artists come in all kinds of forms and shapes. In the golden age of Hollywood is was considered normal for an Aritst/actor to have many talents. Then we started to label people as Director, actor, director of photography etc. I absolutely loathe labels. As a very interesting producer whom i had over for lunch at home the other day explained to me. “I love to surf but I am not a surfer,” I love to skateboard but i am not a skater” etc etc. It made me think carefully about labels. One afternoon as a good friend was going through a boy crisis i decided i would take her to see the Tim Burton Exhibit at the LAcMA. Nothing cheers me up more than a museum (i may be the world’s biggest nerd, i am aware). In the Exhibit you get to take in the full range of Tim Burton’s creative work, both as a film director and as an artist, illustrator, photographer, and writer. He is mostly recognized for his film work but really it was all his art that brought him to the grande picture. We are all looking for that one thing we are especially good at. This way like good Americans we can capitalize on it, Right? What if our journeys are far more complex than that. What if our journey entails more than one road. I have a dear friend who has tried every job under the sun until finally coming to know her greatest calling was to be a nurse. Don’t be a afraid to try all types of different things. In the end there is no space between you and the Infinite.
Here is a small list i like to refer to as instructions for Freedom inspired by my spiritual teaching and our modern day Artist MR. Burton:
1. Like Tim Burton play around with textures, colors, visuals and even different people around you. Go ahead, go see great works that inspire you in your field constantly and try and inspire others with a gentle strokes of love.
2. Embrace who you are…I have always being a bit off. perhaps by normal standards a nerd, a weirdo, and maybe even a crazy person. While growing up i tried everything to fit in and then one day i realized…I am different (we all are) and that’s OK.
3. do everything with Joy.
4. Metamorphosis, is true are g_ds Instructions. Listen careful to what the universe is telling you. TRy and quiet the mind even for a few minutes in the Eve it will allow many things to fall into place. Yes, even your art/work will manifest in the right light.
5. NEver ever wish others bad. You are claiming you are dark inside and your words will only bring you harm. I have seen one to many beautiful souls inside and out waste their lives watching, copying and criticizing others. You are simple robing yourself of beautiful things like your Dharma (your purpose in life according to many sacred religions).
6. Always follow your heart. it will always lead you in the right direction.
7. Learn to pray find grace and LET GO.

The art world has lost one of it’s leading figures- a hugely innovative talent and a great intellect considered the father of pop, whose work crossed many fields: from painting to print making, sculpture, to typography and collage. I am inspired.

While in London I stopped off to see Bill Viola’s ‘The Quintet of the Unseen’. You sit in this dark room while these five characters each experience different emotions. It was very interesting. Here’s an explanation of it:
“In the four works that comprise the Quintet series (The Quintet of the Unseen, The Quintet of the Astonished, The Quintet of Remembrance and The Quintet of the Silent), a group of five people are seen standing close together as they undergo a wave of intense emotion that threatens to overwhelm them. As the sequence begins, their neutral expressions begin to change as the emotion, different for each person, overtakes the group and builds to an extreme level. After some minutes it finally subsides, leaving each person drained and exhausted.
The five individuals experience the rising emotional energy independently, with no acknowledgement or direct interaction with their companions, other than occasional physical contact due to their close proximity. The group stands before a neutral background with no suggestion of the outside world. In the course of the event they do not move from their original positions and no one leaves the frame. Extreme slow-motion playback makes visible the smallest details and subtle nuances of expression, creating a subjective, psychological space where time is suspended for performer and viewers alike.”
Stumbling across galleries in Paris
One day in Paris we decided to go to the antique and vintage market. After tucking all my cards and money in my bra, and a long, shady taxi ride we arrived in an area of Paris I had never seen before. This was for sure not an area Fashion Week was taking place in…anyways, markets are one of my favorite things to discover in a city…a word of wisdom to anyone going to a market in a foreign country…use the bathroom before you get there and DO not drink any water on your way there. My experience in the toilet was one I will never forget. I will spare you the details. We went to the antique market. While walking through the market we came across a contemporary art gallery. It was strange to see such contemporary art in an antique market and also it is not what you normally see in the famous museums in Paris. One artist that caught my eye was Daniel Gastaud.
Daniel Gastaud was born in 1958 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He was a student at the Beaux-Arts. This is where he starts painting and exhibits from 1976 to 1978.
During this period he displayed his work at 41 exhibitions (group and solo exhibitions).
In 1978, he founded the Galerie Gastaud in Clermont-Ferrand dedicating himself to promoting the work of other artists. He took part in the Contemporary Art viewing in Auvergne and organised large-scale exhibitions (Picasso, Pignon, Combas, Denis Oppenheim…). In 1992, he opened a galerie Debelleyme street in Paris, then became a publisher specialised on contemporary art books (Art inprogress in 1996). From 1993 he started painting again and he exhibits throughout Europe and the rest of the world: Belgium, Bulgaria, United States, Quebec, Sweden, Greece, China… .
Now he lives and works in Paris.
The work of art that caught my eye were his feather installations. Here is some of his work.
Every Mark it’s Mask
I attended an exclusive exhibit and dinner at Château Marmont on Sunset Blvd. The Château is notorious for its celebrity affairs that in my eyes secretly want to be unraveled. The artist Zeng Fanzhi, the first non-traditional Chinese artist to have a high bidding on his work, is full of these contradictions as well. Not that contradictions are a bad thing. On the contrary, in art they are second nature. The art in my opinion is a bit morbid and complex beyond my youth. However, I find his philosophies intriguing. “No one appears in society without a mask,” says Zeng. “Art is about choices,” he continues. He raises the age-old question, does art imitate life or does life imitate art? I leave you with this: “Life is a big canvas. Choose your colors wisely, as you want your configuration to appear beautiful but never unreachable or distorted.” Christianne. Take it as you might.
Thank you, Zeng, for the amazing book. It will help me to further grasp your world.
I was recently told by friend Caradoc that in addition to being a passionate art collector and patron to Maximillian Gallery at the world-renowned Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood…… “You can buy me love.” After such a bold statement, I had to go check out the exhibit and his NEW gallery. The gallery represents emerging and contemporary artists and features unique functional art and art gifts including jewelry (Lisa Gastineau’s line was featured), silk scarves, candles, flasks, hand painted guitars and more. Gallery owner Caradoc just launched the gallery at Sunset Marquis Dec 4th, 2010, presenting New York school abstract expressionist artist Amaranth Ehrenhalt, whose colorful energetic work is in many important collections worldwide, including the Smithsonian, and whose show will run until Mar 15th, 2011.
The intimate gallery is just inside the hotel lobby, and has a lovely terrace and fountain which is currently showcasing an officially licensed Speed Racer Limited Edition surfboard designed by Caradoc, built by legendary surfboard maker Scott Anderson, and signed by Caradoc and Scott.
The gallery is open 7 days from 1 – 8 pm, except certain major holidays, and by appointment. Contact the gallery to make an appointment or for more information at 310-881-6025 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

What can’t she do?
My close friend (close enough that we really are on the same wave length about almost everything) not only created my incredible Snooki costume, diagnosed and prescribed me medicine to cure the rash on my arm, is a professional flower arranger and chef … she painted this incredible picture below. I honestly believe that drawing/painting is one of the most incredible talents to have. No matter how many classes my parents put me in, unfortunately I was never blessed with the ability to draw. Take a look at how incredible her painting is…

Yes, I do have a slight obsession with everything reality TV. I will watch anything and I love it all. Here, I will rant and rave about whats going on in reality TV world … too bad the housewives of new jersey is over … enjoy.
So I have yet to find a blog or website that I actually enjoy reading about what’s going on in reality shows. Let me start off by saying, I have loved reality TV since I can remember watching it. Granted I am only 23 and i think some of the first shows I watched were Real World, Road Rules and for some reason that show Rich girls or something, with Tommy Hilfiger’s daughter and her extremely fat friend. They would parade around the Hamptons and shop on Fifth Avenue in New York (that show was wayyyy ahead of its time)…let me say this from the beginning…BRAVO is G-D. Everything that network puts their name on is an instant hit. Who doesn’t want to watch Bethenny pump her breasts? Or Rachel Zoe ‘die’ over the most incredible clothing ever…anyways, I dream to work there one day. Now I can’t go without saying how much I love E!, as I interned there and it was what really sparked my interest in trying to pursue a career in reality tv. And let’s be honest, what they did for the Kardashians is insane…
What I will try to do is stay as current as possible with the shows currently on the air. The most current reviews slash comments will always be closest to the top … enjoy!
It’s back and better than ever!
Who didn’t scream in the first 5 minutes?
You know what I’m talking about….Real Housewives of New Jersey!! The first five minutes made it all worth the wait. The screaming, the yelling, and the weight loss!! (hello Caroline)…Although it is sad to see a family fall apart, Bravo is laughing all the way to the bank. The Housewives of New Jersey never disappoint. I can’t wait to see the rest of the season!!
Housewives of OC: what happen?
Don’t worry, I still love them…but that dinner party at Peggy’s house was a disaster…Alexis is the most obnoxious housewife to date…yes, I am putting her Danielle Staub category. She has no money, no sense of style (how many woman with three children look that thin?) and that line where she said, “I have to take care of my husband and work out…I am too busy for anything else.” That woman is going to wake up one day and realize how disgusting her husband is…eeekkk, she has to sleep with him? Anyways, Tamra is the only one having fun and she deserves it because she was married to the worse husband out of them all! Don’t get me started on Gretchen and Slade…ughhh who would ever want to be with a man who literally has no drive in life…and doesn’t pay for child support. Remember Slade in the season 1 and 2 of housewives (yes, he has almost dated them all) he was buying Jo diamonds, guitars, getting her record deals. Now he sits around and brushes Gretchen’s hair. Also…How do these OC housewives have bodies like that? Its out of control.
How fame effects a Housewife
The Real Housewives of New York is a perfect example of how fame completely changes a person. They are sooo different and even more willing to whore themselves out than ever before. Luanne is a full blown cougar, Ramona loves to talk shit, Sonja is an old selfish hag, Jill is trying to make amends anywhere possible, Kelly still thinks she is the best looking woman in New York, and Alex is on another level…for the first time I agree with Luanne when she says Alex needs to loose her voice! Has she never heard “think before you speak.” I am not Jill’s biggest fan, but Alex tried to corner her and make her feel so bad at the wedding in the Hamptons. I do not like when people are intentionally mean. Thank G-D Betheny got out and is bigger than all these housewives. Then there is the new housewife Cindy Barshop. I love her, business owner/entrepreneur and mother! The woman are more catty than ever…can’t wait to see whats ahead!
Can anyone say less rich version of Housewives of New Jersey? These woman are not messing around…all of either their husbands or fathers are in jail and have ties to mob in some way. It is sad because they leave behind their families and then these woman have to show their lives on VH1? I only caught about half an hour of this show, but their accents were so strong and there was so much swearing I could hardly make out what most of them were saying. How much more Jersey can we take? This time its going really low class…yes, lower than Jersey Shore. The woman are not attractive enough to look at, there houses aren’t nice enough to be jealous of but…the drama might just keep me coming back!
OMG They are BACK!!
Housewives of New Jersey are back and this season looks better than ever! With crazy, freaky Danielle finally gone this show can now bring together all their housewives…literally they are pretty much all family. Jacqueline Laurita, Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo return with two new additions, Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and her cousin Kathy Wakile. In the preview below this season is not going to let us down! I can hear myself screaming O…M…G!!
It’s official, I am in love!! This is my favorite Kardashian spin off yet and Rob’s not too shaby either. I loved them from when they first got married. It’s also amazing because she show enough basketball scenes that now me and my man can finally watch a show together. Can’t wait for the rest of the season…slash I want to live in their house!
Return of the wonky eyed Monster
How is Audrina the only cast member from The Hills who got a spin off reality show? It is also a little late for a Hills spin off. Jersey Shore creators just announced two spin off shows (One with Snooki and J Wowww, the other with DJ Pauly D). I get this, Jersey Shore is sooo HOT right now. It’s the perfect time to milk those Juice Heads for all the reality they’ve got in them! But Audrina?! The Hills was literally popular when I was a freshman in University. (Although I still watch Hills and Laguna on netflix on the regular). Listen, I don’t want to hate, because I will for sure be watching the entire season…but, why now? All of a sudden her family became perfect for reality tv, because from what I read about the show they seem like G-D’s gift to reality TV. Here is a little synopsis as well as the promo for the new show.
“Audrina follows former “Hills” star Audrina Patridge into the next stage of her life and career, introducing viewers to a whole new cast of characters, most importantly her large, outrageous, Orange County family. As the series begins, Audrina finds herself trying to balance the demands of two worlds. On one hand, there is Hollywood and its many golden opportunities in acting, modeling and business. Will she be able to parlay her fame into a career that avoids the varied potential pitfalls of stardom?
The other world which Audrina clings to for support and guidance in this new quest is her big, tight-knit, Orange County family. With her tell-it-like-it-is mom Lynn and peacemaking dad Mark at the center of this tight-knit bunch, Audrina is still determined to be an active presence in the lives of her three younger siblings: former wild child Casey, now married to motocross star Kyle Loza and mother of two; genial younger brother and life of the party, Marky, who has recently become Audrina’s new roommate; and 16-year-old sister Samantha, who is managing the perils of high school and always seeking advice from her loving big sister.
Add to this mix of big personalities the pressures of being hounded by harsh gossip blogs and paparazzi and Audrina’s hope that she can make her often tumultuous relationship work with on-again/off-again boyfriend, Corey Bohan, and Audrina has all the makings of a docusoap that’s at once sexy and dynamic, but also funny and relatable to anyone who’s ever had to balance the expectations of family and friends against what they want for themselves”(VH1)
Teen Mom 2 Finale
Could Jenelle get any stupider? I just had to use her mug shot as her picture. I mean does she realize that the show she is on is called TEEN MOM? She is a train wreck. Keifer is literally high all the time. At what point will she realize that she is ruining her own life, not to mention her son and moms. P.S. did anyone see the video of her beating another girl up…while Keifer cheers her on!! watch it here.
Chelsea is still in denial that Adam is the worse human alive. He comes over looking for his car as opposed to wanting to see his daughter on her first birthday. He is so gross, that when I look at him I feel like punching him in the face. Shave that little thing underneath your chin!
I already have a reminder in my phone for 16 and Pregnant season 3 starting April 19.
Sister Wives…get it while you can
Since discovering that every reality show I record at my man’s house he deletes without telling me, (I always wondered what happen to Jerseylicious and Guiliana and Bill) I now need to squeeze all my show’s in whenever I get a chance ( as in after coming home from a club, when he is in the shower, during a basket ball game, or when the guys are over). Or else… it may be gone!
Sister Wives took me about three days to finish two episodes because every time I would turn it on he would say “turn that shit off!” So I would stop it. At least I won’t have to worry about him one day wanting a plural marriage. Anyways, since the first season aired I think America was so shocked they didn’t know how to immediately react. In the second season you get to see the reaction of Cody Brown exposing his polygamist life to the world. You also begin to learn more about their extended families. In particular Cody’s father and his two sister wives (one of the wives is Janelle’s mother). So technically, Cody and his second wife Janelle are step brother and sister. Also…just to make everything a bit more complicated, Janelle was once married to Meri (Cody’s first wife’s) brother. I don’t really know what to make of this. But I think the reason I love it so much is because it is so different from anything I have ever known or seen. Isn’t that what reality television is ‘suppose’ to do. Give us a glimpse into lives that are not our own. I know I will keep on watching it, that is if my man doesn’t delete it before I get there.
Teen Mom 2
I am all caught up on Teen Mom 2…thank G-D! I can literally sit at the end of my bed with my mouth open watching this show. First of all, I feel so horrible for Kailyn. She is in such a bad situation and on top of it all she has a baby she needs to provide for. She has nowhere to go. Why can’t MTV help her? I don’t get it. Why can’t they step in and provide her at least with an apartment. Somewhere she can be safe and get her life started. Jenelle is just stupid. She chooses her boyfriend, who is the biggest loser ever, over her mother and own child. Does anyone else want to punch him in the face? I know in US weekly it says that they aren’t together anymore, so lets hope this is the case. Chelsea is brainwashed by Adam. She actually thinks that he cares about her and her baby? Why doesn’t her father step in and finally put his foot down. Instead he lets Chelsea put on her baby face and get what she wants. Lastly there is Leah, I feel so bad for her in her situation, but at least she has Corey to stand by her. They are the Catelynn and Tyler of Teen Mom 2.
Real Housewives of O.C. are back!
The original housewives (plus or minus a few) who started it all are back! Tamra is newly divorced and seems to be loving life, Vicki is crazy like usual (she has had so much work done since last season). Gretchen is not a housewife, I don’t know why she is on the show, but I guess she causes enough drama. Alexis is still her G-D loving, husband worshiping self, Fernanda Rocha, the lesbian Brazilian who for sure will add spice and the new girl Peggy Tanous (who I do not know enough about to judge yet). My only question is…why do all the woman in the O.C. look the same? Are there any brown haired, fat mothers in the O.C? Well the season started off steamy with Tamra throwing a luncheon and Gretchen getting wasted and offending everyone around her. Even though I have nothing to relate to with these woman for some reason I think I love them the most! From the previews for the season ahead it looks amazing!!
Million Dollar Listing
I know everyone tuned in last night for the Million Dollar Listing semi marathon…well at least a catch up on all the episodes that have aired this season. This is the only reality show that my man and I can watch together! Thank you G-D!! As they say there is “new blood” with Chad, I love my hair more than my girlfriend Rogers leaving the show, Josh Altman has taken his place. An East Coast Jew who thinks he owns the business. He is a bit obnoxious because he acts like every phone call is so important. Does he not realize LA is full of douch bags like him, which makes him even less special. Although I like the way he dresses, I love when a man dresses up for work. Then there are the returning real estate agents Josh Flagg and Madison Hildebrand. Does anyone else think something is wrong with Josh Flagg? His eyes look extra tired this season and it looks like he must be on something. But, I still love the interaction he has with his grandmother because she is too cute. Madison Hildebrand is still fighting for Malibu, while dissing every guy he meets along the way. Can’t he give someone a chance? Or at least cut his love life out of the show.
I guess the mixture of beautiful homes and aggressive Jews excites me…plus who doesn’t love guest appearances from Mauricio, Kyle from Housewives of Beverly Hills gorgeous husband.
Real Housewives of Miami Revealed
Larsa Pippen is married to basketball star Scottie Pippen and was known as the “Hottest NBA wife.” A mother of four, Pippen boasts that she’s successful at everything she does.
Marysol Patton is a Miami native who runs her own PR firm, the Patton Group. A divorcee, Patton is known for throwing bashes around town and loves to spend time with her mother, Elsa, who considers herself a “seer” and offers spiritual guidance to people in town.
Alexia Echevarria is the executive editor of Venue magazine, where she covers fashion and celebrity culture. She lives on Miami Beach with her husband Herman and has two sons from a previous marriage.
Cristy Rice was recently divorced from NBA star Glen Rice. The show will follow her single life as she juggles business (she owns a clothing store) and being a single mom.
Adriana DeMoura-Sidi is fiery and flirtatious and … newly engaged. Her personality lands her in trouble and the subject of much gossip among the ladies.
Fist Punching, Bling, and second chances
Its been a while, but do not fear I am trying to keep as up to date as possible on my reality TV. Well, all I can say is Ronnie and Sammi’s relationship is sooo screwed up! That bitch is crazy!! I wonder what she thinks when she watches herself on TV…sad and depressed in bed while all the other roommates are wasted and having the best time. Finally she had a break through and is giving everyone a chance. I think good things can only happen on the Jersey Shore from here.
I know I am little late with Housewives of B.H. reunion, but to tell you honestly I hate the reunion shows. Its usually one housewife claiming they were ‘portrayed as the villain’ and everyone ganged up on them. Frankly it is soooo boring to me. This is why it has taken me so long to watch it and sooo easy for me to turn it off…zzzzz!! Besides Taylor’s lip implants…that gross! Fillers, injections, I guess that is one thing…but full blown lip implants that is just wrong. How can anyone take her seriously when all they are staring at are her lips?
Teen Mom always takes the prize. The fact that Chelsea is taking back her ex is just so immature to me. I mean of course they have a child but he is such a bad guy…how could she ever forget that text he sent her? He is fully using her (while he prances around shirt less with his lanky, skinny ughh, yuck body!). Then there is Jenelle who literally only cares about herself. She stays out all night and misses the chance to spend the day with her son. I just love the drama and everything that comes with it!
Teen Mom 2 calls my name!
As I finished a tough morning of early morning teaching pilates classes I found my DVR luring me in…my bed was not made specifically so I could crawl right back into it upon coming home. As I turned my TV on there it was the TEEN MOM 2 premier!! AHHHH…it started off with a bang, I wouldn’t expect anything less. I hate Jenelle, like everyone in America…grow up, loose that white trash accent and respect your Mother. Lets get honest, all of these girls are annoying…believe it or not I actually really like Kailyn, except I totally feel bad for her because her mom is a complete bitch! Leah F**cked up by cheating on her man when she had just had twins!! and lastly, Chelsea, who if you remember her man wrote her the meanest grossest text message ever!! Looks like she is going to take him back…I can’t wait to see what happens!! Stay tuned
And I was like OMG!!!
Did any of you who watched the season premiere of Jersey Shore sit in front of your TV’s going AWWWW OMG!! like I did? I am a late Jersey Shore bloomer who really became interested after I dressed up as Snooki for Halloween. On Saturday evening when I went home to shower and prepare for the night ahead I did the number one thing you shouldn’t do when you are trying to get ready fast, I put the TV. Not just the TV, I put Jersey Shore on. I sat on the edge of my bed screaming so loud that my roommate came in to ask if everything was ok. First of all Sammi Sweetheart is sooo annoying. Like I think that you choose to have fun and put yourself in fun situations and she was a sour puss hiding upstairs with a “boyfriend” who when push comes to shove would leave her to fight her own battles. From the looks of the episodes ahead she is going to have a rough rocky road…whatever she deserves it…she’s gross with her kitten heals and short shorts, yuck!! For some reason I love JWow, its like she doesn’t care and she’s tough, literally throwing a punch if she has too(watch bel0w)….can’t wait to see whats ahead.
I know it has been a while…and even in the move I stayed current in my shows…(new obsessions being Guiliana and Bill, eeekkk) its been an amazing reality TV season…I promise to update here as soon as possible.
Nobody is as ready for this than me!
CHELSEA: Raising a daughter, Aubree. Chelsea is still involved with her baby’s father, Adam, but it’s a tumultuous relationship – and one that Chelsea’s friends and family would like to see end. A popular softball star, Chelsea dropped out of high school during her senior year while she was pregnant. The show will follow Chelsea as she moves into a new place with her best friend and dreams of enrolling in beauty school.
• JENELLE: Raising a son, Jace. The father is completely out of the picture, leaving Jenelle to rely on her own mother, Barbara, for parenting help. Jenelle is a party girl, and has trouble reconciling that part of her life with her mothering duties. Eventually, Barbara takes matters into her own hands and sues her daughter for custody of Jace. Meanwhile, Jenelle enrolls in college courses, works to support herself.
• KAILYN: Raising a son, Isaac. Kailyn’s boyfriend Jo and his family supported her throughout the pregnancy and even took her in after Kailyn’s mother left her with no place to go. But when Kailyn and Jo’s relationship suffers, she moves into the basement as she juggles two part-time jobs and a full course load at community college.
• LEAH: Raising twin girls, Alianna and Aleeah. Leah has been trying to make things work with the girls’ father, Corey, but they broke up after she cheated on him with an ex-boyfriend. When Leah discovers that one of the babies is dealing with health issues, her bond with Corey strengthens and they try to reconcile.
Ohh my gosh I have been away for sooo long…its soo strange I have been watching my shows, but I haven’t been blogging…I guess I watch too many to keep up with. Anyways, I was sooo disappointed in the winner of Dancing with the Stars…i voted for Kyle twice and I even voted for Bristol…anything to not have Jennifer Grey win…she is a professional dancer anyways…I loved Kyle!!
Sooo last night my mom and I lay in bed and watched “Married to Rock” OMG, this show is soooo bad. I love E! and I usually love everything they do, and even if I don’t love it I will still watch it to support it, but this show is pushing it to another extreme. The woman are sooo ugly I couldn’t even bring myself to look them. What part of them is real? I couldn’t even bring myself to remember their names. Anyways, there is one who is sooo desperate to marry her boyfriend who is sooo not interested in her. I even saw on the preview for next week she wants to propose to him…yuckk!! eeek…she should stop listening to that rock and roll her boyfriend plays, it is killing her brain cells. Anyways, DO NOT waste your life on this show. Lets all pray it does not get signed for a second season…ahem!
New found love for Dancing with the Stars
First of all…before I start with DWTS…How weird…just as I blog about Millionaire Matchmaker I see the crazy couple that work for Patti. I went to meet a friend to discuss our upcoming fundraiser we are organizing and she turns to me and says, “Do you watch Millionaire Matchmaker?” I respond “Do I, I have seen every single one, who do you see?!” She points that out and we both agreed we wanted to cut the little Jewish girls bangs. Anyways, since DWTS is quickly coming to an end I decided to tune in on monday after dinner with my parents. I now know why this show is so popular…It literally draws an audience from young kids, to teens, to adults, up to Senior citizens. Everyone enjoys watching it…well anyways, the stars on the show are really talented…I decided when I come back as a huge celebrity I m going to compete on this show. I found myself getting so into it, that I actually sat through the 90 minutes, including all the commercials, cried during the video montages of all the stars and even VOTED at the end!! For Kyle of course, who I think is the best one because he actually is able to have expressions while he is dancing. I actually found myself googling the results while I sat in class last night. I wanted Brandy out! Which of course means, my vote really did count. Can’t wait for next week.
I don’t know why I enjoy watching this show. I guess the same reason why I love the Bachelor. It is so fake, yet we like seeing people on awkward dates. After casting two shows I know that none of these people are on the show because they are looking for true love, they have funny personalities, or interesting ways they made their money and they will make a good episode. P.S. Patti’s idea to go to NY is sooo stupid!! Also, has anyone ever noticed that all the matches she makes never work out. At the end it always says blah blah never saw blah blah again…
first of all, the dates are wayyy better in L.A. When did taking a girl to some cheesy Japanese restaurant for saki shots count as a “master date?” Talk about cheap!! At least in L.A. they fly their dates on private planes, rent out entire stadiums. The shows budget must have been cut. OMG that Jewish girl in the first episode was sooo hard to watch, I wanted to hire a male escort just to give her a good bang! Then there was an obnoxious Jew who didn’t do anything without his friends. He had a case of AIM (when i was younger and used to use AOL instant messenger the boys in my grade would have so much confidence on AIM, yet in person were scared to talk to girls) In this case, his friends were his AIM. Around his friends he was shot taking, high fiving, lover boy…alone he was BORING! I’ll stop at that and not go into more detail about all the other pathetic singles in New York..but my major question is, the couple that help Patti out, they are married (i actually really like them) but they have a baby and I always wonder where the baby is?! If anyone can answer this question I am all ears.
Teen Mom Uproar
Since the huge fight between Amber and Gary where she literally punched him in the face the media has gone crazy!! check this video out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3Aef2Bj2tA
Are we ready for this?
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Premiered last night…I have yet to watch it, but fear I will be screaming at the TV the whole time….I mean, old plastic woman, trying to act young, famous and fabulous…I already feel sorry for them. Let the games begin…
This whole show pulls at my heart strings, I literally cry every time I watch it…but serious Amber has an anger problem. I can’t even believe they show how much she beats the shit out of Gary. Then again Gary is such a loser. He sits there and takes it and then comes crying back to her. She is fully abusing him. Even during the commercial it talks about reporting anyone being physically abused…Sophia looks exactly like her father and the fact that the white trash sister was being such a bitch about doing the paternity test was really low class. The girl showed up with her own baby. I swear do these people not get educated on safe sex? I am soo confused. Maci is happy in LA LA land…and Tyler and Catelynn have the worse parents.
Keeping up with the Kardashians
I finally tuned into this show while there was a marathon going on. This is the only way to watch it because you get all the episodes wrapped up in one afternoon. I think I am finally caught up and I must say…boringgggg. I honestly am still only interested in Lamar and Khloe. I think they are the only real couple. I mean at least they are getting a bit spicy, having some sex talk (although its about Scott, so thats gross) The rest is pretty boring. Is it just me or does every time Kris walk into Khloe’s house she is on her computer doing online shopping? You have nothing else to do, but shop, why do it from your home? Ohh yah, I think because they live in Tarzana, its too far to drive to civilization. But that was mean, I am literally obsessed with their house and I express that a lot. I dont even care to tune in to see what happenings I just like to look at their louboutins…and lets be honest, sistersss got a lot of louboutin.
On the home page I put a video of Kody and his wives being interview…but all I can say is OMG, OMG, OMG…i watched the first episode last night and I kept saying “i can’t believe there are people like this out there.” All the wives are comfortable with each other, except for the fact that Kody is courting someone seems to be bringing about a bit of tension. Anyways, this is insane!! Was anyone else in shock over watching this show? TLC really lucked out with this one. I think it is so interesting to get a glimpse into someones life that is sooooo different from my own. The crazy thing is that all the wives wanted to be in a ”plural” relationship and they are also very modern. They work, they support whatever their children want to do in life and they support each other. I can’t wait to see when Robyn is introduced to the family…i can smell the drama…ohh how I love reality tv. Also check out Reality Blurred to see the legal action that is taking place over this unconventional family… http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/tlc/2010_Sep_28_sister_wives_investigation
My newest obsession is Jerseylicious. A show on the style network about hair dressers in New Jersey. Its a different take on the Jersey Shore, but I am obsessed. How do they have enough hours in the day to get themselves ready? The amount of hair spray, make up and fake tan they use is insane. I find myself stuck to the TV watching with my mouth open. Each girl is opinionated and states their mind. Its a shame they don’t get as much credit as the Jersey Shore, seeing as they actually have jobs and work. Check out the show on the Style network….while your at it check out Mel B, Its a scary world…also obsessed and had to stay up extra late to watch the whole thing on sunday. I mean who didn’t love the spice girls, especially Mel B and her love for leopard (sooo ahead of her time). Her kids are adorable (besides their semi manly hair cut) and her hubbie is kind of hot…I can get enough of her accent. Style network is working its way up to Bravo standards…but don’t worry I wont get too ahead of myself.
We will capture movement on film and, if we didn’t, we will chat about it.

Independant Film/ A Funeral Scene?
I always wanted to visit Pasadena. I was hoping it would involve Flowers as well. What i didn’t expect was to be walking over Dead people. Filming an independent film is loads and loads of Fun. For one i got to gain weight for my role. I hadn’t eaten a cream puff in years…So yummy! Second, i get to film in great locations like a Pasadena, CA cemetery. Jeepers creepers was it scary!!!! At first I was mortified to be among the DEad and all. The Trick is to not let your new life consume you. it is easier said then done when you are living day in a day out with your Film Family and being someone else for months. It can be Nerve jolting and very much HARD hard Work. As an Actress you need to deliver your intention every time and in every Take; there are no special affects in Indi Films to disguise bad acting. It’s you and the lens. A true tale of harsh brutal Truth.
Cannes Film Festival 2011
My favorite film this year: Sleeping Beauty
Directed by Julia Leigh. Starring Emily Browning, Rachael Blake, Chris Haywood. A haunting portrait of Lucy, a young university student drawn into a mysterious hidden world of unspoken desires.
Rohipnol, Money, mystery, seduction and beauty perfect fit for a Palme d’Or.
Director of Photography
Yesterday, the same day of Elizabeth Taylor’s death i was fortunate enough to work on set on a very amazing film. I was all eyes an ears as the crew tested equipment, wrote out mood boards, edited material and manipulated light. The cinematographer a brilliant Danish women had set out her mood board amoung all the vintage and new cameras lying around; what i discovered was fasinating. She and the director wanted to acheive a certain look and color therefore, through her studies of Jacob Riis another Danish genius she would get the crew to understand her vision. For those of you that are not familiar with Jacob Riis, he was the first to use “Flash photography. ” You know us Dans we can get so curious about life leading to innovative concoctions. The entire process inspired me and made me realize i am in the right place in my life right now. What set Riis apart was, that like Elizabeth Taylor he also found it in his heart to help others through his gift. He dedicated his life to bringing light to subject matters that otherwise would never be addressed. He understood the human condition and changed the way we see reality forever.
Jacob August Riis (May 3, 1849 – May 26, 1914) was a Danish American social reformer, “muckraking“ journalist and social documentary photographer. He is known for using his photographic and journalistic talents to help the impoverished in New York City; those impoverished New Yorkers were the topic of most of his prolific writings and photography. He endorsed the implementation of “model tenements” in New York with the help of humanitarian Lawrence Veiller. Additionally, as one of the most famous proponents of the newly practicable casual photography, he is considered a developer of photography. While living in New York, Riis experienced poverty and became a police reporter writing about the quality of life in the slums. He attempted to alleviate the bad living conditions of poor people.
A Legacy of Beauty and Charity
The original dark beauty died this morning at 1:30 am in Cedars Senai Los Angeles, CA from heart failure. Long before we had Angelina Jolie and Kristen Stuart we were graced with Elizabeth. It astonishes me to think she died of heart failure; considering she was a women who is known for giving so much unconditional love to her lovers and philanthropy work. Your spirit remains with all of us, who admired your unwillingness to compromise.
ps. I dedicate this memorable day to My mother Diana, the most beautiful princess that ever lived. Elizabeth Taylor always reminds me of my mother. In the late 80′s my mom wore ET’s enchanted perfume white diamonds will looking stunning and raising four spectacular little girls. I am so grateful for having a beautiful mom that took me to piano lessons, ballet, drove cross the state for theatre productions, took me on auditions at the mere age of 6, styled my hair, bought me my 1st Christian Dior outfit at 9…. all while looking amazing. Today we celebrate women who are glamorous and lust for life and i couldn’t go without celebrating my very own Elizabeth Taylor; my Mother. “Let’s celebrate life” my mother always says when speaking of Death. I will do just that today celebrate Elizabeth and rejoice in being blessed with my Spectacular mother.
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life’s betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain! I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it’s not pretty, every day, and if you can source your own life from its presence.
The SAG awards are all about the actors and, let’s face it, the fashion.
Claire Danes’ Vuitton was highly criticized. Nonetheless, when you have her talent, do you even need a dress?
I loved the look!!!! The SAG awards are not meant to be polished. It is not the Oscars, people, and it never has to be. It is a carefree night to honor the thespian. She executed the belted gown trend without going too fancy.
She is perfect, and the pink lipstick was just the touch of fun she needed to go pick up her award for “Top Female TV Actor.”
Congratulations Claire, you are more stunning than ever. In my eyes you will forever remain Juliet from William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet directed by Baz Luhrmann (my favorite director EVER!)

Films Without Borders Organization Creates Magic in Buckingham Palace
Guest Speaker George Lucas gets interviewed by none other than Prince Andrew.
Films without Borders a non profit organization trying to make film making accessible to developing countries around the world hosted a cocktail and dinner held in the ball Room of buckingham Palace in London. The event was LUX, yet it had a purpose. Later in the evening, the guest were asked to come to the “Screening Room” which is bigger than any theater i have ever seen (and I’ve been to Texas). The night was very informative. Prince Andrew interviews George about how he got started in the industry. George Lucas says the golden era of Hollywood and the studios were having trouble and this is where he and his closest friends like Martin Scorsese and Stanley Kubrick found an entrance to start their own modern interpretation of film making. “So what’s next Mr. Lucas?” asked Andrew George. Lucas went on to state that he is now interested in making more “avant garde” films than in the past. Can’t wait to see what a genius director has in store for our viewing pleasure. Oh, and I was formally introduced to him but if you ask me what I said, well I can’t really remember. I was in wonderland!
